Fibre Internet Service Provider in Malaysia.

There are two fibre internet service providers, namely TM and Maxis. TM with the name unifi and Maxis with Maxis fibre broadband. The fibre infrastructure is wholly owned by TM and Maxis uses the infrastructure provided by TM in their fibre services.

Comparison of unifi and Maxis Fibre

We will compare the main differences of two internet packages of the same speed only between unifi and Maxis. So, the 30 Mbps unifi package will be compared to the 30 Mbps Maxis package.

The pricing table below shows only the main differences. The same features offered by unifi and Maxis are not mentioned here as they are the same.

For example, FREE installation and activation for standard installation of up to 15 meters of fibre cable for both unifi and Maxis.

Unifi vs Maxis 30 Mbps Package

From the pricing table above, we recommend you choose

• Maxis fibre if you want unlimited free calls and/or if a RM100 deposit is a burden.
• unifi if you want a 30 day free subscription and you don\’t need unlimited free call service.

Please note the installation for Maxis fibre may take longer than TM unifi due to both the contractors from TM and Maxis are to present during the installation.

Unifi vs Maxis – 100 Mbps Package

For a 100 Mbps package, we recommend you choose

• Unifi package if you don\’t need unlimited FREE local calls.
• Maxis package if you need unlimited FREE calls and RM100 deposit is a burden.

Unifi vs Maxis – 500 Mbps Package

Unifi vs Maxis – 800 Mbps Package

For packages from 300 Mbs and above you\’ll find unifi monthly subscription fee costs between RM50 to RM70 due to the addition of unifi Ultimate Pack service.

So, how to choose if you trust TM more than Maxis. Want to take 500Mbps but don\’t want to take the Ultimate Pack. You\’re worried about the service.

Free Installation

Please take note that, standard installation means the fibre cable length does not exceed 15 meters and only goes through the best route of the contract option upon the consent of the client.

If there is a request to route the fibre cables via certain routes such as through the ceiling, wall felling and anything not included in the standard installation, additional charges will be charged by the installer.

Contractors from either TM Unifi or Maxis Fiber will contact you prior to installation. Remember to get the contractor\’s phone number when you receive the installation appointment call and/or SMS.
